Which countries are perceived as the most corrupt? And which are squeaky clean?
The Corruption Perceptions Index 2002, to be launched on 28 August 2002, will include more than 100 countries for the first time ever
Issued by Transparency International Secretariat
The Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index 2002 will be launched in Berlin on 28 August 2002. There will be 102 countries included in this year's CPI, the highest number in the history of the index. The CPI, which TI first launched in 1995, is a poll of polls, this year drawing on 15 surveys from nine independent institutions. The surveys were undertaken over the past three years, and no country has been included in the CPI without results from a minimum of three surveys.
Last year's CPI 2001 is available at http://landcommerce.info/.
